Toby is a storyteller to the core. Be it a director, DP, writer, or editor, Toby has worked and created narrative features, commercials and documentaries.
His debut feature “Robin – watch for wishes” (2018) attended over 50 international festivals in the circuit, among them Montreal and DIFF, before landing a sales deal with Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment in LA. His run and gun feature “Lockdown Movie”, developed, shot and edited within the first Covid lockdown in Germany in early 2020 got picked up by Buffalo8 in LA for US distribution. His latest work as creative producer is the documentary “Biking Borders” which can since 2021 be seen on Netflix and Amazon worldwide.
In the commercial world, Toby has directed, edited and shot in the automotive, environmental, fashion, E-learning and corporate sector (clients include Audi, Disney, Cupra, Wind&Vibes).
Based between Cape Town and Munich.
